Live notification in the system

Stay up to date: Q.wiki informs you about changes and tasks directly in the app and, if you like, by email. This keeps content current and ensures you don’t miss anything that needs your attention. You’ll see new notifications via the bell icon at the top right. A red dot on the browser tab also indicates there’s something new.

These notifications can include:

  • Requests to approve pages in the old approval workflow
  • Comments on pages you’re responsible for
  • Mentions in comments (@mention)
  • Tasks from modules

Tip: Click the bell to open your notifications list.

In the task quick access, you’ll find everything you should handle soon:

  • Approvals in the new approval workflow
  • Read confirmations
  • Up-to-date reviews/review reminders
  • Module actions

Especially together with the new workflow, tasks offer several advantages. The biggest one: once a task is completed, it’s closed for all recipients. To switch to the new workflow, you can contact our service at any time.

Email notifications

Daily summary: If there are open notifications for you, you’ll receive a daily summary email. If there’s nothing new, no email is sent.

Instant notifications: If you prefer, you can enable immediate emails instead. You can set this in your personal profile.

Important: No notifications to yourself

To prevent notification overload, Q.wiki doesn’t notify you if you are both the trigger and the recipient. For example:

  • You create a task and assign it to yourself.
  • You request approval but are listed as the page’s responsible person yourself.

In these cases, an email cannot be forced.
