In Q.wiki, you can embed external content such as videos, iFrames, and diagrams directly into wiki pages – without uploading the original files.
Embedding external content and iFrames
With the Embed external content function in the editor, you can embed web pages, event overviews, product information, or diagrams directly into Q.wiki. This keeps your information current and saves storage space.
How to embed external content
- Click Embed external content in the editor
- Enter the iFrame URL (either the browser URL or the src URL – see below)
- Adjust the width and height as needed
- Save the page – the content will then be displayed
Embedding videos
With the Embed video function in the editor, you can embed videos from Google Drive, YouTube, Vimeo, Microsoft Stream, or Microsoft SharePoint directly. The advantage: videos play without downloading and you won't exceed the 100 MB attachment size limit.
YouTube and Vimeo
Copy the video URL from the address bar and paste it into the embedding function.
https://player.vimeo.com/video/ID
Microsoft SharePoint
- Open the desired video in SharePoint
- Copy the URL from the address bar
- Use the Embed video function in Q.wiki and paste the link
Google Drive
- Open the video in Google Drive
- Copy the full URL from the address bar
- Use the Embed video function in Q.wiki and paste the link
