Synchronize additional attributes for profiles

Attention: This guide is intended for IT specialists.

With Q.wiki 6.3, new user profiles are available that, in combination with an Entra ID connection, enable synchronization of the attributes displayName, email, department, telephoneNumber, and location in profile previews and user profiles.

Prerequisites

Entra ID connection to Q.wiki is configured
You have access to the Entra ID enterprise application

Step-by-Step

Open the Enterprise Application for Q.wiki in Entra ID.
Navigate to Provisioning > Attribute Mapping > User Attribute Mappings.
Review the attribute mappings – by default, all attributes should already be correctly mapped.

Configure Attribute Mapping

Make sure the following attributes are added and enabled:

department
telephoneNumber
physicalDeliveryOfficeName

Tip: If these attributes already exist, disable them first, save the mapping, and then re-enable them.

Optional: Configure the "Other" Field in User Profiles

The "Other" field in user profiles can be populated with the SCIM attribute ims[type eq "other"].value. You can also use expressions for this.

If this attribute is not available, add it via the attribute list:

Go to Attributes > Add Attribute.
Enter the attribute name and save.
Then map the attribute in the user attribute mappings.

Result

After saving the mappings, the configured attributes will be transferred from Entra ID to Q.wiki during the next synchronization and will be visible in user profiles and profile preview tooltips.
