The role concept in modules allows you to assign permissions and notifications via roles instead of individual users. This makes configurations more secure and easier to maintain.
Good to know: If an employee leaves the company or takes on new tasks, you don't need to search for this person in every configuration mask – simply update the module-specific role overview.
Create a role
To create a new role, open the Roles tab. Then click + Add role.
Each role consists of the following elements:
- Role name: The name of the role.
- Description: Optional – a description of what skills or positions in the organization are needed.
- Which users and groups have this role: When you click this field, all available groups and users are displayed.
Use and delete a role
After creating the role, you can use it in various places in the module configuration.
To delete a role, open the three-dot menu next to the role and select the delete option.
