Insert content from other sources (Word, web pages, etc)

Important: Q.wiki attempts to preserve as much formatting as possible from the external source. However, any unauthorized formatting is automatically cleaned up. This ensures that Q.wiki pages maintain a consistent appearance and prevents issues during further editing.

Copy content from the source

To import content from an external source, select and copy the text you need:

  1. Select all content with Ctrl + A, or select a specific section using your mouse or keyboard.
  2. Copy the selection with Ctrl + C.

Insert content into the Q.wiki page

  1. Switch to the editor to edit your page (see Edit a page).
  2. Insert the content using Ctrl + V or right-click > Paste.

Clean up formatting

If needed, you can remove unwanted formatting:

  1. Select the pasted content.
  2. Click the Remove Formatting button.

Reformat your text

After pasting, review the text and adjust the formatting as needed:

  • Adjust headings
  • Check and correct lists and numbering
