What is a two-stage approval workflow?

A two-stage approval workflow in Q.wiki combines two sequential approval processes: first, content approval by the page owner, followed by formal approval by a Key User or administrator. This ensures both content accuracy and compliance with guidelines.

Content Approval

The page owner reviews the draft for content accuracy and completeness. He/She must have the following rights:

  • View and comment on drafts
  • Grant or deny content approval
  • Provide feedback on revision requirements

Formal Approval

After content approval, the Key User or administrator takes over the formal review. Required rights:

  • View pages submitted for approval
  • Grant or deny formal approval
  • Publish the page or send it back for revision
Tip: Regularly check your roles and rights in the process area. This ensures the workflow runs smoothly and no bottlenecks occur.
