Standards web

Modified on Thu, 2 Apr at 4:19 PM

The Standards assignment module shows an overview of the standards available in your system. Standards are set up once by Modell Aachen and are not automatically updated afterward. If a standard changes, you can add the updated version to the system yourself.

After installation, the standard ISO 9001:2015 is activated and listed in the first table. The second table (visible to Key Users only) lists all other available standards that you can activate as needed.

Interaction with the Process module

For each activated standard, a metadata field appears in the Process module. You can use this field to assign one or multiple standard chapters to each page.

Once the page is saved, the page title appears assigned to the corresponding standard chapter.

Activating and deactivating standards

Important: You need Key User rights to complete the following steps.

To activate or deactivate a standard:

  1. Open the standard.
  2. Click the Edit button.
  3. The deactivated checkbox shows the current status of the standard. Check or uncheck it as needed.
Caution: When you deactivate a standard, all standard references on pages are deleted. They are not automatically restored – you must manually reassign them if you reactivate the standard later.

Editing existing standard chapters or marking them as irrelevant

To edit a standard chapter:

  1. Open the standard.
  2. In the relevant chapter, select Chapter view in the right panel.
  3. Click Edit to modify the standard.
    • In this view, you can mark a chapter as Relevant or Irrelevant and add a justification for your classification.

Adding new standard chapters

Important: You need Key User rights to complete the following steps.

To add a new standard chapter:

  1. Open the standard.
  2. In the right panel, click Add new chapter.
  3. Fill in the required fields and click Save.

Adding new standards

Important: You need Key User rights to complete the following steps.

On the overview page of the Standards assignment module, click Add new standard to open a dialog where you can create a new standard. You can mark the standard as active or inactive upon creation. We recommend creating it as inactive first. Activate it only after you have configured all the chapters.
