Move content in different webs

Attention: You need Key User permissions or module responsibility to move pages.

Step by step

Open the page you want to move.
Click the page-specific tools in the right sidebar.
Select Move page.
Specify the target area and confirm your selection.

Important: Requirements for the target area

Important: The source and target areas must be based on the same module (e.g. Processes, TaggedContent). If they are not, this will lead to data loss in most cases.

Even if the source and target areas are based on the same module, you should check the metadata. If the metadata fields do not match, they cannot be transferred when moving – this also results in data loss.

Alternative: Copy page instead of moving

Tip: Often it's easier to copy the page content (Ctrl+A; Ctrl+C), create a new page in the target area, and paste the content there (Ctrl+V). This avoids metadata issues.
